Students have all learned a lot in the PDSA project, and it only makes sense to share the learning with others! The purpose of this discussion is to summarize what was learned and respond to others so that all can benefit from the knowledge gains. 

This is a discussion, rather than a formal presentation, because a discussion is a good way to share thoughts about what has been learned along the way. Students may remember the video that started this project in which Dr. Goldmann conversationally described the cycle he used to improve his vegetable garden. He summarized the highlights and main steps of the process improvements with his cucumbers. We will be using a similar style in this discussion. Students will share the main steps and events that happened during the PDSA cycle (we don’t need all of the details, just the main points). Then there will be opportunities to reflect on the learning that occurred. Dr. Goldmann’s video is in Module 3 and it’s called “From CLABSIs to Cucumbers.”
